Look Inside
Self Paced 20-hour course to help you understand more about budding grafting
Budding and grafting are well established plant propagation techniques that are used to produce better quality plants, with fewer problems and more value. In essence, the best variety of a plant for below ground (the roots) can be attached to the best variety of above ground growth. For example; sometimes a plant produces excellent fruit or flowers but may be growing on a weak or disease prone root system. Grafting is then used to attach the excellent flowering top to a different vigorous or disease resistant root system.
Grafting and budding are often used for producing fruit trees or certain flowering plants, including roses.
This course is designed as professional development or foundation training for plant propagators. It can benefit both amateur gardeners or professionals who seek to broaden or deepen their knowledge and skills in propagation, but specifically grafting.
